Schaff Studio #62

This piano was picked up in North Carolina and is a family heirloom. The owner wants the piano finished in a flat ebony to match her home decor. I rarely do pianos that are heirlooms which are not restored to their original finish but this will be a unique and fun project because I believe that it will look fabulous in a flat ebony finish.  I really enjoyed this pickup because the owner showed me one of his restoration projects.  It is a hot rod pickup truck.  He did all the work on this truck except for the 700hp engine.  He built this truck to drag race and it sure sounds like it will do that well.  It only has 800 miles on it since it was completed.

  1. This 90-year old piano is now back to its original black finish. I absolutely love the results of Robert’s work and I know my mom would love it also. It is now in the office of its new rightful owner, my daughter.
