We are looking at a Chickering Grand. This piano is going to receive a finish. It is a later model Chickering made in the 70’s. This piano came from Kenny Rogers Athens, Ga estate several years ago.  The new owners have planned an extensive renovation in their home and felt it was time to make the piano fit in with the new renovations.  So here we are set to make this piano fit in with a very nice looking decor. One of the reasons they wanted the piano finished is because of the paint, as you can see in the pictures and video below. If you look closely, the cabinet is in pretty good shape as far as dents and dings. This piano will be going back in a satin finish.

For the first day of my work on this piano, my tasks include:

  • Stripping of parts
  • Cabinet mask off
  • Tear Down
