Baldwin SF-10 # 148

This project is for a piano retailer in Tennessee.  This piano is going to be refinished so that my customer can put it on his floor for retail sale.  The piano's internals are in good condition so he wants to limit restoration to the exterior.  I am in agreement actually because from what I can see this piano is in really good shape.  He kept back the action so that he could do some regulation work while I have the piano doing the cabinet work.  When I received the piano it was partially disassembled so now I will finish the disassembly and strip the original finish off of this 7' Baldwin.  I'll get more pictures of the piano case after I set it up.  Today I will work primarily with the parts.imageimageimageimageimageHow about that for artful expression.imageI will likely start on the case tomorrow but for today I stripped all the parts. Judging from the veneer on this piano it is a "black only" piano. I have only found one piece that had a course pore veneer and that is the fallboard.imageimageYou can see the difference here between the fallboard and the folding piece of music rack. Below is a shot of the large lid.imageimageimageimageimageimage
